Who has approved Haryana Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan Bill - President
Among the important National Current Affairs, On 12th November 2015, President Pranab Mukherjee approved Haryana Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan Bill.
On 16th March 2015, Haryana Legislative Assembly passed the bill.
Characterstics of the bill
- Imprisonment of 3 to 10 years and a fine of up to 1 lakh rupees will be imposed on slaughtering of cows.
- Imprisonment for not less than 3 years and up to 7 years will be imposed in addition of fine between 30000 rupees and 70000 for importing the cows for slaughtering.
Who has sworned in as Circuit Judge in the UK - Indian-origin barrister Kalyani Kaul
Among the important International Current Affairs, On 9th November 2015, Indian-origin barrister in UK, Kalyani Kaul sworned in as a Circuit Judge in the UK.
She is known for her rich experience of 32 years defending serious and high profile cases and heavy-weight criminal defence work.
In 2009, she was appointed as a Recorder by Queen Elizabeth II where she prepared cases for trial and presided over hearings.
India inked MoUs with six countries in - International Civil Aviation Negotiations
Among the important International Current Affairs, On 12th November 2015, India signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with six countries which are : Oman and Ethiopia, Norway and Denmark, Finland, Kazakhstan, Kenya and Sweden.
The agreements were signed during International Civil Aviation Negotiations (ICAN) 2015, which was held in Antalya, Turkey.
Mou with Kenya
The capacity have been increased to 21 additional frequencies.
Domestic code share was accorded to from any 4 points by both sides.
Kenya also agreed to grant one additional point, intermediate and beyond point with full 5th freedom rights in Africa to India.
Mou with Ethiopia
Capacity entitlements were increased to 28 frequencies per week.
Mou with Finland
Finland agreed for the provisions namely open sky on cargo, code share, intermodal services and routing flexibility.
Domestic code share was agreed to on 5 points in the territory of both parties.
Mou with Sweden, Norway and Denmark
The three Scandinavian countries agreed for the four provisions namely open sky on cargo, code shares, intermodal and routing flexibility which are the mandatory requirements of Horizontal Agreement.
Mou with Oman
Additional 5131 seats were accorded taking the total capacity entitlements to 21149 seats per week.
Mou with Kazakhstan
As per the latest Article 11 given by the Indian side, both the countries agreed to review the initialled Air Services Agreement (ASA).
Where did the 12th ASEM Foreign Ministers' meet held - Luxemburg
From 5th to 6th November 2015, 12th Asia-Europe Foreign Ministers' Meeting (ASEM FMM12) held in Luxembourg. Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy chaired the meeting hosted by Government of Luxembourg.
The theme for the meet was "Working Together for a Sustainable and Secure Future".
51 Foreign Ministers from 30 European and 21 Asian countries as well as the Secretary General of ASEAN participated in the meet.
Who has won the 2015 International Children's Peace Prize - Abraham M Keita
Among the important International Current Affairs, On 10th November 2015, Liberian Abraham M Keita was awarded with the prestigious International Children’s Peace Prize 2015 for successfully campaigning for the Liberian parliament to adopt the Children’s Law and his extraordinary and peaceful fight for justice for child victims of physical or sexual violence.
Nobel Peace Laureate Leymah Gbowee presented the award to seventeen-year-old Keita.

International Children’s Peace Prize is awarded to child from across the world for their dedication to children’s rights. The prize is presented annually and was an initiative of Marc Dullaert, Chairman and Founder of the Dutch KidsRights Foundation.
India's GSAT-15 communication satellite launched successfully
Among the important National Current Affairs, On 11th November 2015, India's GSAT-15 was launched successfully by the European Ariane 5 VA-227 launch vehicle.
GSAT-15 has a weight of 3164 kilogram which carries communication transponders in Ku-band along with the GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) payload.
After Arabsat-6B (BADR-7) (its co-passenger) was injected into space, the GSAT-15 was launched into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO).
Immediately after the separation from the launch vehicle, the Indian Space Research Organisation’s Master Control Facility (MCF) at Hassan in Karnataka took over the command and control of GSAT-15.
GSAT-15 has an estimated lifespan of 12 years and is the 10th communication satellite. It will supplement telecommunication, radio navigation services and Direct-To-Home services.
Defence Minister commissioned India’s Coast Guard offshore patrol vessel - Samarth
Among the important National Current Affairs, On 10th November 2015, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar commissioned the India Coast Guard’s largest Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV), ‘Samarth’.
It is the first in the series of six off Shore Patrol vessels by Goa Shipyard Limited. It has a maximum speed of 23 knots and is fitted with most advanced technology, sensors and machinery, navigation and communication equipment.
It will be used in Exclusive Economic Zone.
Who has won NASA award for Burst Prevention & Puncture Curative technology - Sameer Panda-led Indian team
Among the important International Current Affairs, On 6th November 2015, the NASA award for an innovative technology named Burst Prevention & Puncture Curative (BPPC) technology was won by a team of Indian scientist led by Sameer Panda from Odisha 2015. Smitiparna Satpathy, KN Panda and Udit Bondia are the other members of the team.
They won the award in the contest jointly organized by NASA and Society of Automobile Engineers, International named Create the Future Design Contest- 2015.
They won the award for Mild Run Flat Tyre based on BPPC technology and developed by TycheeJuno, a firm working on Disruptive and Breakthrough Innovation in technology mostly related to automotive division.
