India will be supplying 18 Meter Gauge Diesel Electric Locomotives to which country - Myanmar
On 18th March 2016, RITES signed an MoU in order to supply 18 Meter Gauge 1350 HP Diesel Electric Locomotives to Myanmar Railways with an aim to help Myanmar to meet its increasing demand for passenger and freight traffic.
This project is being funded under an existing line of credit extended to Myanmar by Union Government.
Fulbright - Kalam Climate Fellowship was launched by which two countries - India and US
On 11th March 2016, Fulbright - Kalam Climate Fellowship was launched by India and US. This fellowship will help Indian research scholars in the field of climate change and will also enable them to work with American institutions.
This fellowship will be operated under the Fulbright programme. It was named after late Indian President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
Clean My Coach service was launched by - Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu
Among Important Initiatives, On 11th March 2016, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu launched Clean My Coach service which is an online service for passengers where they can call railway staff to clean their respective coaches. It can be done using SMS, Mobile App or using website.
Who is new oldest man of World - (Age 112)
Yisrael Kristal is world's oldest man now. He is 112 years old. He was born in poland on 15th September 1903. He lives in Israeli city of Haifa. He not only lived through both world wars but also survived through Nazi death camp. He was presented with Guinness World Records certificate for same.
