India and Japan signed together which agreement - Civil Nuclear Cooperation Agreement
Among Important National Current Affairs, on 11th November 2016 after years of negotiations, India and Japan have finally signed a bilateral Civil Nuclear Cooperation Agreement.
Now with this, India has become the first non-NPT country with which Japan has signed a Civil Nuclear Agreement.
However, the civil nuclear agreement between the two countries was not realized so gar manly because India did not fit into Japan’s ‘Hikaku San Gensoku’ or three non-nuclear principles.
Also these principles adopted in a resolution by Japanese parliament provide that Japan would neither possess nor manufacture nuclear weapons, nor shall it permit their introduction into Japanese territory.
Who is re-elected as Director-General of International Labour Organization - Guy Ryder
Among Important International Current Affairs, on 7th November 2016 Guy Ryder was re-elected as the Director-General (DG) of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) for another five-year term.
However, he will assume the post on 1st October, 2017.

• Guy Ryder obtained 54 of the 56 votes cast by the titular members.
• Ryder was the only candidate for the post.
Competition Commission of India selected to host - ICN 2018 Annual Conference
Among Important National Current Affairs, on 9th November 2016 The International Competition Network (ICN) declared that the Competition Commission of India (CCI) would host the 2018 ICN Annual Conference.
However, this Conference is going to be held at Delhi in March–April 2018.
Also by virtue of the event, CCI is also inducted as an ex-officio member of the steering group member of the ICN for a period of 3 years.
Who will host 2016 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit – Peru
Among Important International Current Affairs, the 2016 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum’s Leaders Summit will be held in Lima, Peru from November 19 to 20, 2016.
However, the theme of the summit is “Quality Growth and Human Development” and the official logo is the architecture of the ancient city of Caral.
Also, it will be the second time Peru hosting to the APEC Summit; previously it had hosted the event in 2008. The 2016 summit will gather leaders from the world’s 21 most important member economies, as well as over 1,500 investors and entrepreneurs.
Who is the real brain behind the currency withdrawal move - Anil Bokil
Among Important National Current Affairs, the sudden and path-breaking decision of the withdrawal of 500 and 1000 Rupee currency notes by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi managed to create inconvenience among people at all levels.
However, after the announcement many people were seen in queues near the ATMs.
Also, the announcement of 8 November 2016, which created a situation of havoc among citizens, is being considered as Modi’s fight against Black money. After the 2014 mandate, PM Modi promised that he will not allow those with black money to rest in peace and take actions against them.

Marta Jakimowicz selected for Lifetime Achievement Award 2016 by - Lalithakala Academy
Among Important National Current Affairs, on 10th November 2016 Poland-born art critic Marta Jakimowicz was selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award 2016 by the Karnataka Lalithakala Academy.
However, presently she is settled in Bengaluru. Other than her, portrait artist Baburao V Nadoni from Belagavi, and KK Makali from Bellary were also selected for the award.
Also all the winners will be honoured with the cash prize of 50000 rupees.
