India-born Hinduja brothers emerge richest in Britain
India-born Hinduja brothers, Srichand and Gopichand Hinduja, have emerged as the richest men in Britain with a net wealth of 11.9 billion pounds (about $20 billion). Their current fortune is up by 1.3 billion pounds during last year to make them on first spot.
By this they have replaces steel-tycoon Lakshmi Mittal and Russian Alisher Usmanov.

President confered Florence Nightingale awards
On 12th May 2014, the President of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee conferred National Florence Nighangle Awards 2014 to 35 nursing personnel from across the country for their meritorious services at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.
The award is conferred every year on 12 May as the world on this day observes International Nurse's Day. Theme chosen by the International Council of Nurses for this year is Nurses: A force for change – A vital resource for health.
