Which day is Observed as National Deworming Day- 10th February
On 10th February 2015, National Deworming Day is declared by Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda. It is an initiative focused over 24 crore children in India on reducing the threat of parasitic worm infections. On 9th February 2015, Jagat Prakash Nadda also launched the National Deworming Initiative to protect all pre-school and school-age children from intestinal worms.

On 9th February 2015, Varanasi-based Diesel Locomotive Works of Indian Railways handed a order worth Rs.450 crore to Siemens Limited for locomotive equipments. Siemens will supply and oversee the installation and commissioning of three-phase propulsion systems for three-phase traction motors and Diesel Electric Locomotives. Varanasi-based Diesel Locomotive Works is a production unit of Indian Railways, which manufactures around 300 diesel electric locomotives annually.

On 9th February 2015, to set up India’s largest solar park with capacity of 10000 MW of electricity in Rajasthan, the Rajasthan Government and Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Adani Enterprises CEO Vineet Jain and Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Managing Director B K Dosi signed the MoU. In the next five years Adani Enterprises Ltd, will set up solar project of 5000 MW on its own. The project will help in reducing carbon footprint by approximately 16.2 metric tonnes and produce 16644 million units of clean and green energy.

On 8th February 2015, three sub-groups of Chief Ministers had been constituted within the NITI Aayog by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Governing Council of NITI Aayog made this decision after the first meeting.
Three Sub-groups
- First Sub-group - This group will study the 66 centrally-sponsored schemes and recommend which schemes should continue, which to discontinue, and which should be transferred to states.
- Second Sub-group - This group will look after the creation of skilled manpower and skill development within states.
- Third Sub-group- This group will be responsible for taking decisions on the institutional mechanisms to be evolved for Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, so that cleanliness becomes a part of life in endurance.

Union Government has made a decision of infusing 6990 crore rupees in how many Public Sector banks - Nine Public Sector banks
On 7th February 2015, Union Government has decided to infuse 6990 crore rupees in nine Public Sector Banks on the basis of performance of each bank to meet global risk norms and enhance their capital. This is the first prtion of 11200 crore rupees allocated by the government in the Union Budget 2014-15.
