Award winning film director and cinematographer Balu Mahendra died at 75

Award winning film director and cinematographer Balu Mahendra died at 75 on 13 February 2014. 

Balu Mahendra died in Chennai due to cardiac arrest and is now survived by his wife and son. 

Important to note: 

He won the national award for best cinematography in 1983 for Moondram Pirai.
