Aruna Bahuguna became first woman to be appointed as chief of National Police Academy

The Union Government appointed IPS Aruna Bahuguna as chief of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderbad. 

The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) issued the orders for the appointment on 20 January 2014 thus Aruna Bahuguna became first woman to be appointed as the chief of the National Police Academy. She will replace IPS Subhas Goswami.
