Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi - Indian Navy Chief resigned

Indian Navy Chief Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi resigned on 26 February 2014 taking moral responsibility of the accident on INS Sindhuratna in Mumbai, thus he became first Defence forces Chief to resign since independence.

It was tenth mishap involving an Indian Navy warship and the third involving a submarine in the last seven months.
