    The Staff Selection Commission Board release the recruitment notification for the unemployed candidates. To participate in the SSC Examination, applicants need to prepare well for the Written Exam. To qualify the Staff Selection Commission Exam, candidates need to make a perfect preparation plan.

    Eligibility Criteria  SSC MTS Exam

    Candidates must pass the matriculation exam from any state recognized board.

    Age Limit

    Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 25 years for the general category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC is 3 years and for ST/SC is 5 years.

    Exam Pattern

    The exam is divided into two parts.

    Part – I 

    It’s an objective exam with the duration of 2 hours.

    There will be a penalty of 0.25 negative marks.

    Part – II will be descriptive exam, where short essay or letter on specified topic will be asked to write. Weightage is 50 marks and duration is 30 minutes.

    Staff Selection Commission MTS Syllabus 

    I)Reasoning :

    Logical Sequence of Words, Visual memory, Discriminating observation, Figure Classification, Analysis, Judgment, Decision making, Non-Verbal Series, Number Ranking, Number Series, Alphabet Series, Arithmetical Computation, Analogy, Coding-Decoding, Problem Solving, Verbal and Figure Classification, Arithmetical Number Series, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning etc.

    II)Quantitative Aptitude

    Number System, Computation of Whole Numbers, Simplification, Relationship between Numbers, Decimal & Fractions, Profit and Loss, Discounts, Percentages, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Ratio and Time, Averages, HCF & LCM, Use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Work, Simple & Compound Interest, Time and Distance, Tables and Graphs, Data Interpretation etc.

    III)English

    Subject-Verb Agreement, Fill in the Blanks, Error Correction, Comprehension, Sentence Rearrangement, Verb, Tenses, Adverb, Articles, Vocabulary, Grammar, Unseen Passages, Idioms & Phrases, Synonyms, Antonyms.

    IV)General Awareness

    Indian Constitution, Books, Awards and Honors, History, Culture, Current Affairs – National & International, Current events, Geography, Economic Scene, Sports and Games, Important Days, General Politics, Books and Authors, Economic Scene, Science – Inventions & Discoveries, Abbreviations, Important Financial & Economic News.
