SSC GD Constable Exam
Updated : 16-Jun-2017The Staff Selection Commission conducts GD Constable Exam to recruit candidates against the post of GD Constable in BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, SSF, NIA and rifleman in Assam rifles. SSC GD constable recruitment is done on the basis of PET / PST, Written Examination and Medical Test. Candidates qualifying in written exam, are eligible for medical test and those candidates who clear medical test are appointed for GD Constable Posts.
These exams are conducted in both online and offline mode. Candidates can choose the mode of examination.
Eligibility Criteria for SSC GD Constable Exam
Educational Qualification:
Minimum 10th Pass from a recognized board.
Age Limit: Desired age is between 18 years and 23 years. Age relaxation provided to the reserved categories as per the government rules.
SSC GD Constable Application Form
Candidates can apply via online mode and those candidates who are from J&K, North-Eastern States and LWE affected area, can apply through both modes i.e. online and offline. Online application form is available on commission’s official website and for offline application form candidates can download the application form from the official website of SSC.
• Fee Payment Mode – Candidates have to pay Rs.50 as application fee. Application fee can be submitted through online and offline mode. For online mode Candidates can pay via SBI Challan/Net banking and Debit/Credit Card and for offline mode candidates can pay through Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS).

• Written Examination (Objective Type) (100 Marks)
• Medical Test
SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Exam question paper is divided into 4 parts:
• General Intelligence and Reasoning.
• General Knowledge and General Awareness.
• Elementary Mathematics.
• English/Hindi
Questions are of Objective Type. Exams has 100 questions for 100 marks.
Exam duration is 2 hours.
For online examination questions are in English and Hindi only.
For offline examination questions are in English, Hindi and other Regional Languages.

- SSC GD Constable Admit Card
PST/PET & Medical Test admit card is released on the official website of CRPF and the admit card for written exam is released on the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Regional websites. Those candidates who apply online they need to download all their admit cards through online only, and all admit cards sent through post to those candidates who apply offline but they can also download their admit card online as well.
SSC GD Constable Cut Off
SSC releases the cut off for GD Constable written exam. The Commission prepares the final merit list according to the candidate’s category. The minimum cut off marks percentage for selection normally be as under:
•General: 35%
•SC/ST/OBC: 33%
