Delhi Police Constable Executive Exam

The Delhi Police Constable (Executive) Examination is a competitive recruitment examination which is conducted in order to recruit the constables in the Delhi Police which is held in the capital of India. This is the state – level examination which is conducted by the Delhi Police in order to recruit candidates so they can fill up the job vacancies. Any candidate from anypart of our country is eligible for the recruitment procedure. 

 Eligibility of Delhi Police Constable Executive Exam

Age Limit:

• Age limit for the post of Constable executive Male is 18-21 years.
• Age limit for the post of Constable executive Female is 18-25 years. 

Age Relaxation:-

• SC - 05 years
• ST - 05 years
• OBC - 03 Years

Educational qualifications  for Delhi Police Constable Executive Exam:

10+2 (senior secondary) pass through a recognized Board/University. Relax ableto 11th pass only for Bandsmen, buglers, mounted constables, drivers, dispatch riders, etc. of  Delhi Police and sons/daughters of Delhi Police Personnel & Multi Tasking Staff (formerly  Class-IV employees) of Delhi Police only either in the service of a Delhi Policeman.  

Male Candidates must possess or carry a valid Driving License for LMV (Motor Cycle/Car) on the date of PE&MT. Learning Driving license will not be accepted. 

Physical standards:

Height (in cms) -

• For male candidates only GENERAL/OBC – 170cms 
• For all candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes – 170cms
• For all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes – 195cms
• For Female candidates only GENERAL/OBC - 157 cms
• For all candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes & Schedules Tribes – 155 cms

Chest (in cms) -

For male candidates only GENERAL/OBC -

• Unexpanded – 81cms
• Expanded (Min of 4 cms) – 85cms

For all candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes - 

• Unexpanded – 81cms
• Expanded (Min of 4 cms) – 85cms

For all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes - 

• Unexpanded – 76cms
• Expanded (Min of 4 cms) – 80cms

EXAM PATTERN OF Delhi Police Constable Executive Exam

 The qualifying Physical Endurance test for the post of Constable (Exe.) Male for all candidates including Ex-servicemen and Departmental candidates (age-wise) will be as under:-  

1. Age - 31 years   

• Race 1600 mtrs - 6 Minutes
• Long jump - 14 Feet
• High Jump - 3’9” 

2. Age - should be aged between 31 and 40 

• Race 1600 mtrs - 7 Minutes
• Long jump - 13 Feet
• High Jump - 3’6”

3. Age - Above 40 years   

• Race 1600 mtrs - 8 Minutes 
• Long jump - 12 Feet
• High Jump - 3’3” 

Physical Endurance test (qualifying) for the post of Constable (Exe.) Female for all candidates including Departmental candidates (age-wise) will be as under:- 

1. Age - Upto 31 years   

• Race 1600 mtrs - 08 Minutes  
• Long jump - 10 Feet
• High Jump - 3 Feet

2. Age - Upto 31 years   

• Race 1600 mtrs - 09 Minutes
• Long jump - 9 Feet
• High Jump - 2’9”

Computer based Written Examination:-

Subject - Number of Questions - Maximum Marks and duration of the exam are given below:

• Reasoning - 35 Qs  of 35 total marks
• General Knowledge/ Current Affairs - 50 Qs of 50 total marks
• Numerical Ability - 15 Qs of15 total Marks
• Duration of the exam is 90 minutes

Only those aspirants who are qualifiedin PE&MT are be allowed to appear in Computer Based Written Examination

PAY SCALE

Total Pay Scale for the Delhi police executive Constable is mentioned below as follows:

• Pay scale of a Delhi police executive constable is between Rs. 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- (pay scale is the revised version after the 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level – 03) and other allowances as admissible.

ADMIT CARD

The admit cards/ call letter for the computer based competitive exam will be uploaded on the website of Regional Offices of the Staff Selection Commission when the notification is out. It is mandatory for candidates to bring the hard copy of the admit card with themselves along with a valid id proof such as Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Identity Card issued by University/College, Income Tax Pan Card in original during the exam in the examination hall. Those candidates who fall short of any of these documents will not be allowed to sit in the examination hall.

Syllabus of Delhi Police Constable Examination

The syllabus for the Examination is mentioned as follows:

• Reasoning
• General Knowledge/Current Affairs
• Numerical Ability

Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and know the difference between patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type as it is a computer based exam. This component include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, and some other topics.

The questions that will fall in this section will be subjective in nature

General Knowledge/Current Affairs: Questions in this section will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment happening around the world. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as expected by the examiner’s view. The test will also include questions relating to our country and its neighboring countries especially related to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research etc. These Questions will be in such a way that they do not require a special strategy and it will not take much time to prepare.

The questions that will fall in this section are objective in nature

Numerical Ability: this paper includes question related to mathematics and it’s topics like Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc. this section will take most of your preparation time and it requires speed and accuracy.
