TANCET – Must Know About the Eligibility Criteria, Application Form, Exam Pattern
Updated : 15-Jun-2017Anna University, which is in Chennai known to be the main conducting authority that organizes Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET).
However, TANCET is a state level entrance exam. It is conducted for candidates who are looking for admission into MBA, MCA, and ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan Degree Programs.
Know About ‘TANCET’ Application Form -
•Interested candidates can fill the form only through online process.
•Candidates can get the TANCET Application Form easily from the official website of the Anna University.
•However, the application form will be available from the first week of May.
•Candidates can also fill the form till third week of May.
•Note: No need to send application form through offline mode. Candidates can take the printout of the confirmation page and keep them for future reference.
Details on Eligibility Criteria –
1.For MBA – Pass Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years). Also secured at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).
2.For MCA - Pass Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) with mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduate level. Also obtained at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).
3.For MCA (lateral Entry) - Pass Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) in BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT) with mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduate level. Also secure at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).
4.For ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan - Pass Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Also Obtained at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category). GATE Valid Score Card.
Have a look on the TANCET Exam Pattern -
•The duration of the TANCET Entrance Exam will be of 2 hours only.
•For each correct answer 1 mark will be given to the candidates and for incorrect response, 1/3 mark will be deducted.
•However, the entrance exam of MBA & MCA will be conducted on the same date but in different time. The entrance exam of ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan will be held separately on separate dates.
Important Dates –
•Result of TANCET will be declared in the last week of June.
How to get TANCET Hall Ticket -
•Candidates can easily download their hall ticket from the Anna University Website.
•From the first week of June, TANCET Hall Ticket will be available.
•At the time of entrance exam, candidate has to produce the hall ticket and the admission process.
•If any how candidate lost the hall ticket after the entrance test, the duplicate hall ticket can be obtained after making a payment of Rs. 100 in the form of DD with the written request to:
