    MAT – What is all about?

    MAT which is commonly known as a Management Aptitude Test is a national level entrance test. 

    Every year MAT exam is conducted by All India Management Association i.e. AIMA. Those candidates who are interested in the management education can appear for this entrance test. 

    However, the MAT examination is usually held four times in a year in February, May, September and December months respectively. 

    Important Dates – 

    •Last date for online registration – January last week

    •Admit card release – In or after January last week

    •Exam date – February first week (PBT mode) and second week February (CBT mode)

    •Result declaration - Within a month after the examination

     Steps to do registration for MAT - 

    •Registration for MAT can be done through the online or offline process.

    •From 12th December, 2016 onwards the application form can be easily available. 

    •However, after submitting the application form online, the form will be scrutinized by the examining committee and then the candidates will get the acknowledgement slip.

    •Well, this acknowledgement slip ensures that the form is filled and verified correctly.

    •Though, in the case of offline application or payment through DD, candidates have to send the application form along with all required documents at AIMA, New Delhi before last week of January. 

    Know about the Eligibility Criteria - 

    •Graduation is the minimum qualification to appear for this test. The interested candidates who have completed their graduation in any of the streams like science, commerce and arts can apply for the MAT exam.

    •While, those candidates who are in the final year of the graduation can also apply for this exam.

    •Also the candidates who have a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation can apply for the test (45% marks for the SC/ST candidates) and the NRI candidates can also appear for the test.

    •Please Note: No age limit is mentioned to appear for the MAT exam. Candidates of any age can appear in this entrance test.

    •Last but not the least, there is no attempt limit also for the examination.

    Tips for the preparation of MAT - 

    •It is very important for the candidates to prepare each topic and should not leave any topic for the last moment. 

    •The candidates should also keep habit of making short notes and can revise them for the better preparation. 

    •The candidates can also start doing their preparation from the previous year mock papers.

    • Don’t be lazy and make proper planning and study schedule in order to rock the exam.
