IBPS RRB Exam - Syllabus, Eligibility and Exam Pattern

IBPS is going to conduct Common Recruitment Process for Recruitment of Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) for various posts. All Interested candidates requested to check “Eligibility for IBPS RRB Exam” before applying for IBPS RRB Online application form.
A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer. However, a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre i.e. for Officer Scale-I or Scale-II or Scale-III.
IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria
There is major eligibility differences between IBPS RRB Officer and IBPS RRB office assistant. Candidates must check complete details carefully.
IBPS RRB Common Written Exam (CWE) eligibility includes these major points for every participant to become eligible for IBPS Exam in terms is your Nationality, Age criteria, and Educational qualification criteria. Candidates must produce the relevant documents in original and a photocopy in support of their identity and eligibility – pertaining to category, nationality, age, educational qualifications etc. as indicated in the application form.
Educational Qualification criteria is different for different posts-
Eligibility for IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Post – Must be Graduate in any discipline. Computer proficiency is desirable.
Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Post – Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate.
Experience required – Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II (Specialist Officers) Post –
Information Technology Officer – Must have Degree in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc.
(b) Experience required: One year
Chartered Accountant – Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Experience – One year
Law Officer – Degree in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Experience – Two years as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period not less than two years.
Treasury Manager – Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or MBA in Finance from a recognized university/ institution
Experience – One year.
Marketing Officer – MBA in Marketing from a recognized university.
Experience – One year.
Agricultural Officer – Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Experience – Two years.
Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale III Post – Degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Preference Criteria having Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.
Experience – Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.
RRB Age Criteria
There is certain relaxation for different categories, Candidates are requested to go through the detailed Eligibility Criteria on IBPS.
• Officer Scale I = 18 – 30 Years
• Officer Scale II = 21 – 32 Years
• Officer Scale III = 21 – 40 Years
• Office Assistant (Multipurpose) = 18 – 28 Years

Syllabus for IBPS RRB Mains Exam
IBPS has not yet published any formal syllabus for any of its exam. We have prepared the topics which are mentioned below on the basis of analysis of previous question papers. The topic provided here are important for both Officers Scale and Office Assistant Exam. The difficulty level of question will vary in respective exam paper.
