WBJEE Exam - Syllabus, Eligibility and Exam Pattern
Updated : 15-Jun-2017West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination which is known as WBJEE, it’s an entrance examination which is organized in order to provide the admission in UG engineering and technology courses by the well-known education board – West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB).
However, by qualifying WBJEE entrance examination, interested candidates can get direct admission in various private and government colleges within the state only.
Have a look on the Eligibility Criteria –
• He or she should be the citizen of India.
• Candidates must have the domicile of West Bengal.
• Interested candidates must have passed high school and also intermediate from state or central board of education.
• 45% marks in 12th examination and for reserved categories it is 40%.
• The candidates should have scored at least 60% marks for general category and 55% for reserved category.
• They must have passed higher secondary with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects.
• He or she should be 17 years old.
Tips to apply for this exam –
• Interested candidates can easily get the application form through online portal which will be available after WBJEE official notification.
• From this official website, candidates can download the online application form.
• Fill all the details in a very accurate way and then upload all the important documents accurately.
• However, after filling all the details you will be asked there to complete the payment section, i.e. through online payment mode that is credit card and debit card or else e-challan.
• If we talk about the application fee then for engineering, technology and architecture, your fees will be Rs. 500 and for engineering, architecture, pharmacy, medical and dental, your fees will be Rs. 600. Now, take a print out of confirmation page as it may be required in future.
Here are the important dates of WBJEE –
The online registration will be started from Last week of December
The online registration will be finished second week of February
All the mandatory documents can be uploaded till third week of February
You can pay the fee till fourth week of February
You can get the confirmation page till last week of March
Admit card will be uploaded on first week of April
Examination’s date (WBJEE 2017) May
Results will be out June
Counselling will start from First week of July
WBJEE is conducted for 3 hours, in English language.
WBJEE Admit Card
WBJEE Admit card can be easily found in the official website next year, most probably by 4th April. Those candidates who are appearing for this exam can download their admit cards to write the examination.
Candidates should keep in mind to carry their admit cards at the examination centers, because without your admit cards, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
