AIPMT – Must Read before applying !

One of the known entrance examination for medical aspirants is AIPMT that used to be conducted every year. 

However, this entrance exam is conducted by the most renowned education boards ‘CBSE’. AIPMT, which is also known as All India Pre Medical / Pre Dental Entrance Test, gets organized in order to provide the admission in various medical courses such as MBBS and BDS.

Each and every year large numbers of candidates appear in this examination. This exam most probably held in the month of May and application form available from December each year. 

Have a look on the Important Information about AIPMT – 

• Date and Time: May (will be updated after release of official notice for AIPMT)

• Exam Pattern: There are about total 180 MCQs from all the subjects such as - Chemistry, Botany, Physics and Zoology. To complete this exam, you will be provided 3 hours.

• Marking: For each correct answer, four marks will be given and 1 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.

• Age Limit: Minimum 17 years (Age relaxation applicable for reserved category people)

Know About the Eligibility Criteria - 

As we all know that AIPMT comes up with some eligibility criteria so that only those who fulfill such criteria, they can also apply for it. Moving forward, complete information divided in various sections is provided. 

• Age Needed: Interested candidate should be minimum of 17 years old as on 31st December whereas, the upper age limit is 25 years. Five year age relaxation is applicable as per the government norms for all the candidates who belong to reserved category such as SC, ST and OBC.

• Nationality: Indian citizen can also apply for this examination. While OCI – Overseas Citizen of India are also applicable for applying.

• Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed intermediate with some mandatory subjects which includes - Biology/ Bio-Technology, Physics, Chemistry with minimum 50% marks for general category candidates whereas candidates who belong to reserved category are required to pass 10+2 with minimum 45% marks from a reputed education board.

• Those candidates who have passed Bachelor of Science with two of these subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Biology, Zoology)/ Bio- Technology can also apply for this examination.

Tips to apply for this exam – 

• On the official website, the application forms will be available from December.

• However, from the homepage one can also get the online apply link (after release of AIPMT official notice). By opening that click one can get the application to fill in. 

• Keep in mind that you must be familiar with complete eligibility criteria, before applying for any examination so you better go through AIPMT 2016 eligibility criteria first.
